A Ruthven man escaped injury Saturday evening in a semi crash on Highway 60 two miles south of Hospers.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Kody Upton of Ruthven was driving a 2017 Peterbilt pulling a tank trailer southbound when he lost control of the rig. Deputies say Upton over-corrected and the semi tractor-trailer rolled with the rig coming to rest blocking both southbound lanes of the highway.
Damage to the semi was estimated at $20,000.
