Rockwell City Woman Charged Following Clay County Traffic Stop

A Rockwell City woman was arrested on multiple charges in Clay County after a traffic stop was made for a traffic violation.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened shortly before 10:30 Saturday night in the 3000 mile of Highway 18. Upon investigating, a deputy smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and marijuana was located.

The driver, 23-year-old Andrea Figueroa of Rockwell City was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor…and Speeding and No Insurance, both simple misdemeanors. Figueroa was released from jail after posting bond.
