Fundraising Underway for Storm Lake RAGBRAI Overnight Stop

Fundraising has started for the Storm Lake RAGBRAI overnight stop this summer.

Funds raised for RAGBRAI’s visit to Storm Lake is geared toward supporting day-of costs such as entertainment, showers, signage, camping and sanitation needs, and more. According to the local RAGBRAI committee, those who donate will be making an investment in Storm Lake and its future, as participants in the bike ride often return to overnight towns with other family and friends. The committee is expected to visit area businesses in search of funds.

Costs for the event are projected at 250-thousand dollars, and financial donations of any size are welcome. Checks can be made out and sent to “Storm Lake RAGBRAI Committee” Attn : Tyler Gibbins…PO Box 1086…Storm Lake, IA 50588.

One way to help fund the event is by purchasing Storm Lake’s official RAGBRAI stickers and clothing at www.ragbraistormlake.com. The fundraising committee is led by co-chairs Steve Brashears, Austin Langel, and Tony Pertzborn.

Storm Lake will be the first overnight stop for the 50th edition of RAGBRAI on Sunday, July 23rd.
