A single-vehicle accident that involved a bridge in Clay County over the weekend resulted in serious injuries.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 2:15 Saturday morning in the 2000 mile of Highway 18. 33-year-old Taylor Einck of Primghar was driving a 1994 GMC Sierra westbound on the highway. Einck veered across the eastbound lane and struck a bridge guardrail.
Einck was transported to the hospital in Spencer with serious injuries. The vehicle is considered a total loss. The accident is still under investigation and charges are expected. Assistance was provided by the Spencer Police and Fire Departments, and Fostoria First Responders.
