Red Flag Warnings Issued Again Around the Area

Dry and warm conditions, along with low humidity and continued dry grasses will allow for critical fire weather conditions again today (Thur), as Red Flag Warnings will be in effect for much of the region this afternoon and evening, which includes Buena Vista and surrounding counties.

The Grassland Fire Danger Index will reach the extreme category this afternoon. A reminder that outdoor burning is NOT recommended, as fires that develop this afternoon and evening will likely spread quickly.
