Due to high wind activity and low relative humidity in the forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning today (Mon) for Buena Vista and surrounding counties from 10am to 5pm.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
Southwest wind today (Mon) is expected to be between 15 and 25 miles-per-hour, with gusts up to 30 miles-per-hour. Relative humidity is expected to get as low as 19-percent. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
