Approximately ten people at the meeting signed up to be part of the steering committee. Ellinghuysen said RSG is looking for more board members as well.
Martinez said they’ve been in communication with a daycare builder who’s had a successful run in Van Meter.
Ready Set Grow Executive Director Emily Bodholdt recently announced she will be resigning from the organization.
Over a year ago, the City of Storm Lake obtained land on the west side of town to be used for a possible childcare center in the future.
