A cash reward is being offered for information about a fire at the POET Bioprocessing Plant in Emmetsburg that’s been determined to be arson.
Authorities were called to the fire late on the night of May 12th. It took several days for the fire to be fully extinguished, resulting in around five million dollars worth of losses in corn stover. No injuries occurred.
POET is offering a ten thousand dollar cash reward for information that leads to the identification and arrest of those responsible for the arson. Contact the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office at 712-852-3535.
