The town of Varina is celebrating its 125th anniversary this weekend.
Dick Farrell says they have over 50 entries for the parade that starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday), and more Saturday events are planned.
The Saturday night street dance music begins at 7:30pm.
Sunday’s events include a mass at St. Columbkille’s Church, and a cowboy church service in the park. Farrell says there will also be a special Varina Veterans Memorial dedication…
The dedication begins at 10:30 Sunday morning.
A pork chop dinner will be served Sunday from 11am to 1pm, and firemen water fights are also scheduled.
