Plea Negotiations Have Begun for Former Kingsley Police Chief

Plea negotiations have started for the former police chief in Kingsley, who allegedly used confidential resources to stalk his ex-girlfriend.

54-year-old James Dunn is facing 19 criminal charges, including Unauthorized Dissemination of Criminal History Data, Unauthorized Dissemination of Criminal History Data, Misconduct in Office, and Stalking. According to court documents, the plea negotiation deadline is set for next Monday, April 17th. If a plea agreement isn’t reached by the deadline, Dunn’s trial will take place as scheduled on July 11th.

Dunn is accused of using privileged data to obtain information about his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend. Dunn was arrested at his Kingsley residence in February. He pleaded not guilty to the charges last month.
