More than 815 dollars was raised for the Operation Scorpion fundraiser that was put on by Storm Lake Radio and the Storm Lake Candy Company.
The funds will go to Storm Lake Community Education to help offset costs for kids that can’t afford to participate in their many programs, and for new equipment. Community Ed Director Joe Kucera stopped by the radio stations today (Thur) to receive the check. Kucera says they serve about 18-hundred Storm Lake kids, and approximately ten-thousand kids in the area.
Community Education extends their gratitude to all businesses and community members that donated to Operation Scorpion.
