Neighborhood Challenge Offered as Part of Storm Lake Proud Week

A Storm Lake Proud Neighborhood Challenge is being offered as part of Storm Lake Proud Week.

Neighborhood groups that volunteer for a beautification project are invited to take a photo of themselves at work and send it to stormlakehometownpride@gmail.com by May 10th. One photo will be chosen at random to win a pizza party.

Contact Storm Lake Program Manager Kim Woltman to sign up for a project, which can be done anytime during Storm Lake Proud Week May 4th through the 10th. Groups can propose a beautification project of their own, but they’re asked to report it to Public Works.

The neighborhood challenge is from Storm Lake Hometown Pride, which is a volunteer-driven committee recently established under the Keep Iowa Beautiful Hometown Pride program. The committee’s focus is on short-term improvements and long-term strategies to make Storm Lake an even better place to live, work, and explore.
