A little bit of snow has fallen in the Storm Lake area this (Wed) morning. Multiple inches of snow are expected tomorrow (Thur), although amounts could be less than what was predicted previously.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for counties including Buena Vista, Clay, Cherokee, and O’Brien from 6am tomorrow (Thur) through tomorrow night. According to the National Weather Service, between 3 and 5 inches of snow are possible.
Slightly higher snowfall amounts could arrive elsewhere. A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect for counties including Sac, Pocahontas, and Palo Alto from 6am Thursday through Thursday night. Between 2 and 6 inches are possible in those areas.
More snow is possible for the upcoming weekend. The National Weather Service urges citizens to keep an eye on the forecast, as things can change rapidly as these storms move into Iowa.
