More Charges Filed Against Kingsley Police Chief

Additional charges have been filed against the police chief in Kingsley.

According to court documents, 54-year-old James Dunn allegedly sent “alarming and concerning” letters to a man dating a woman that he previously had a romantic relationship with. Trial information filed in Plymouth County Court shows Dunn now faces a total of 19 criminal counts. Dunn originally received only five charges, including Misconduct in Office, Falsely Obtaining Criminal Intelligence Data, and Stalking.

New charges against Dunn include Unauthorized Access to or Dissemination of Intelligence Data, and Unauthorized Dissemination of Criminal History Data. He allegedly used this privileged data to obtain information about the woman he had previously been in a relationship with, and her current boyfriend.

Dunn was arrested at his Kingsley residence back on February 15th by agents with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. He is due to return to court for arraignment on March 20th.
