Lakeside Man Receives Drug-Related Felony Charges

A wanted Lakeside man has been arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses.

According to the Storm Lake Police Department, an officer on patrol located 43-year-old Yulieskis Heckavarria Rojas at around 2pm Tuesday in the 300 block of West Milwaukee Avenue. He was taken into custody without incident on a charge of a Controlled Substance Violation Methamphetamine, a class B felony. A Storm Lake Police K9 was deployed on Heckavarria’s vehicle, and positively indicated to narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a quantity of methamphetamine packaged for sale, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Hechavarria Rojas was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine With Intent to Deliver, a class B felony…two counts of Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a class D felony…and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a 60-thousand 300-dollar bond.
