Four juveniles were charged for their involvement in an alleged assault that occurred late last week in Storm Lake.
Last Friday evening, a male victim informed Storm Lake Police that he was approached by four male juveniles earlier that evening around 7pm at Chautauqua Park. The victim claimed that the suspects punched and kicked him. The victim was able to escape and fled the area on foot.
Following an investigation, police identified the suspects as two 13-year-olds from Storm Lake, a 14-year-old from Newell, and a 14-year-old from Ida Grove. All four suspects were located and issued juvenile referrals for Rioting, a class D felony…and Simple Assault, a simple misdemeanor. They were released to a parent pending an appearance in juvenile court.
