The City of Ida Grove will be flushing hydrants during much of next month.
The flushing will happen starting this coming Monday, May 1st through May 20th. During that time, Ida Grove water users may experience low water pressure, discolored water, and air in water lines. Washing light colored or white laundry is not recommended during that time. If laundry becomes stained, residents are urged to add an iron removal product in the washing machine and rewash laundry.
Running an outside faucet can eliminate any discolored water or air in water lines. Ida Grove water users are advised to not run hot water until the water is clear so that water heaters don’t collect sediment.
