Havelock Woman Arrested After Main Street Assault Investigation

The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office says a Havelock woman was arrested Tuesday following an assault investigation on Main Street.

Deputies were called to 971 Main Street around 4:43 p.m. on July 28 and spoke with several people at the scene. Following their investigation, officers arrested 22‑year‑old Jasmine Mersch. She’s charged with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.

Mersch was taken to the Pocahontas County Jail, where she awaits her initial court appearance. The Laurens Police Department assisted at the scene.
