A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up for the Buena Vista County Historical Society, as its building received extensive damage from last Friday’s storm.
The roof of the building was sheered off from straight-line winds, and many historical artifacts sustained major water damage. Decades of documents, books, and other antiquities are nearly unsalvageable. Rain also affected the structure of the museum.
The BV Historical Society is seeking donations to help with cleaning and repair costs. Click here to access the Go-Fund-Me page. The fundraising goal is 14 thousand dollars, and over 16 hundred dollars have already been raised since the effort began on Tuesday.
