Corridor to Conduct Regional Wage and Benefit Survey

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is launching a regional wage and benefit study this month and into May.

The study will launch on Wednesday, April 23rd. Businesses throughout Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, and Emmet counties will be receiving an email with a questionnaire that will assist area employers and economic development groups with ensuring northwest Iowa remains an attractive and competitive place to live and work. Questions will cover specific hourly/salary wages for occupations, benefits, workforce trends, community amenities, and organization demographics.

Survey results will assist the Corridor and its local businesses with workforce recruitment and identifying workforce trends. Reports based on survey results will be provided to participating businesses to allow them to benchmark their organization against similar organizations in northwest Iowa. Results will be released by July of this year.

Iowa Lakes Corridor Development is teaming up with the University of Northern Iowa Strategic Marketing Services and the Institute for Decision Making to make the study happen.
