A project in Calhoun County is among four in the state that is receiving a grant to drive growth in rural Iowa.
Calhoun County Economic Development is receiving ten thousand dollars to develop a marketing strategy to attract businesses, manufacturers, or service providers to locate in the Calhoun County Business Park, particularly on a site at the intersection of Highways 20 and 4.
The 40 thousand dollars in funding for the projects, announced this (Thur) morning by the Iowa Economic Development Authority, comes from the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa Initiative’s Building Ownership and Organization by Strengthening Teams (BOOST) program. The rural BOOST program connects community and business leaders with expert guidance to develop actionable growth plans.
