A Buena Vista University alum will serve as a Commencement speaker this year.
Amy (Waller) Friedrich will speak at the BVU undergraduate ceremony on Saturday, May 6th at 2pm in the Siebens Fieldhouse.
Friedrich is a Van Meter native, who graduated from BVU in 1993. She studied communications and journalism while participating in several co-curricular activities as an undergraduate. Friedrich currently serves as the President of Benefits and Protection at the Principal Financial Group. She is also a member of the BVU Board of Trustees.
Two Commencement ceremonies will be held on May 6th. Dr. Kris Meyer, BVU Instructor of Professional School Counseling, will be the keynote speaker for the graduate school Commencement earlier that day.
