Buena Vista County Buildings and Grounds Superintendent Joe Keller at the Board of Supervisors meeting this (Tues) morning gave an update on April 18th storm damage.
Keller said there were a couple of downed trees, including one around the courthouse, and a tree landed on top of the courthouse which caused some damage. He said they had several alarm and door issues to figure out. Keller said county property got by pretty good overall.
The Board approved a request from the Parade of Flags Foundation to once again hold their Memorial Day program on the courthouse lawn.
County Veterans Service Officer Jerry Weiland will be the guest speaker. Keller said they currently have eight flags to dedicate.
