Several local businesses received awards last (Wed) night as part of Storm Lake United’s annual banquet.
Legacy Awards were presented to Fareway, Fritcher Abstract, Hunzelman Putzier and Company, HyVee, Larson Oil, Merrill Manufacturing, Stalcup Ag, Stille Pierce and Pertzborn, Sugar Bowl, and the Vista 3 Theater.
Business Growth and Expansion Awards went to BV Glass, Marcus Lumber, and Inder Singh for Brew Oil, Al’s Liquors, and Royal Laundromat.
Community Impact Awards were given to Central Bank, Citizens First National Bank, Security Trust and Savings Bank, and United Bank of Iowa.
Tyson Foods and Tyson Fresh Meats received Employee Impact Awards…the Customer Service Excellence Award went to the Villager Restaurant…and the New Business Award was given to Abelardo’s Mexican Fresh.
The Storm Lake United banquet was held at Buena Vista University.
