Weather conditions today (Wed) through this evening in the Storm Lake area and much of northwest Iowa are favorable for producing what are known as “cold air funnel clouds.”
The National Weather Service Sioux Falls office says any funnel clouds that develop are expected to be weak and not touch the ground. The weather today isn’t expected to pose a threat, but citizens who feel concerned for their safety are advised to seek shelter.
Locally, there are slight chances for showers and thunderstorms the remainder of today and tonight.
