At this past Monday night’s Ridge View school board meeting it was announced that current Newell-Fonda football coach Brian Wilken will become the new head football coach for the Raptors starting this fall.
Wilken has spent the last 24 years at Newell-Fonda leading the football program to 17 playoff appearances including four trips to the UNI-Dome and a state title in 2014. His career coaching record is 199-71.
Wilken, who has also been the athletic director and high school P.E. teacher at Newell-Fonda, will also be a P.E. teacher at Ridge View with the possibility of other duties which will be announced at a later time.
