The Storm Lake girls basketball team is 4-0 for the first time in 15 years after a 52-23 win Thursday night at Denison-Schleswig. Grace Kenkel scored 14 points, Adeeya Yanga had 11 and Mackenzie Harder and Audrey Kosky each had eight points.
The Storm Lake boys also beat the Monarchs by the final score of 61-56. Jaidyn Coon scored 23 points and grabbed ten rebounds, Justin Guynn scored 17 points and Cam Boyd added seven points and picked up ten rebounds. The Tornadoes are now 2-0.
