Storm Lake Basketball Teams Remain Undefeated

The Emmetsburg E-hawks paid a visit to Tornado Fieldhouse Tuesday night and both of the Storm Lake teams picked up wins. The Tornado girls forced 18 turnovers in the first half and won 40-27. The Tornadoes committed only one turnover themselves in the 2nd half and limited Emmetsburg to 30-percent shooting for the game. Adeeya Yanga scored a game high 19 points. The Tornadoes are now 5-0 on the year.

The Storm Lake boys are now 3-0 on the season after their 59-48 win. The Tornadoes scored 22 points in the 2nd quarter and built a 33-18 lead at the half. Charlie Dvergsten, Justin Guynn, and Jaidyn Coon all scored 13 points and Cam Boyd chipped in with 12.

The Tornado teams will begin conference play Friday night when they host Spirit Lake for a double-header beginning at 6pm.
