“We went to battle tonight with 8 out of our 10 in our lineup including we are without returning state qualifier Nataley Frerk at this point. This is how we will look for a little while. We have been battling illness and injury just like everyone else. Happy to get our first win of the year against conference foe Emmetsburg. The okoboji/HMS dual was a great dual for us. We really came out ready to go against a scrappy team. We pretty much dominated the dual winning all but one contested match by bonus points and ended up losing by 1 due to giving up 36 points in forfeits. We wrestled hard against a very good and well coached Central Lyon also. Individually, JR Nichole Hart 125, JR Ashley Alvarado 100, and new to the lineup our freshmen Lexi Jones 105 and Remi Pillars 115 all had 3-0 nights.Â
Our MS girls also wrestled tonight against Okoboji and Emmetsburg. Their overall record was 5-3 against Okoboji and 4-4 against Emmetsburg. 8th graders Joy Alfred, Ryan Waldstein, Eli Orenday, and Cambri Kreibaum all went undefeated on the night”.Â
The Rebels individual tournament is Friday at 5:30
