The 13 and under Sac County Bandits baseball team claimed another state championship over the weekend.
The team captured its second straight USSSA State Tournament Championship and third in the last four years….this year’s tournament was held at Triple Play Park in Cedar Rapids (July 14-16)…the Bandits won this year’s championship game, 15-1, in 5 innings against a team that had beaten them 9-4 during Friday’s pool play round…after losing its first bracket round game in extra innings on Saturday, the team had to win four straight games, including 3 on Sunday’s final day.
