The Ridge View Raptors fell to the Hinton Blackhawks 11-7 in the 2A District 15 Semi-Final
Both teams would toss up zeros in the first two frames. The Blackhawks would crack the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning. The Blackhawks would send eight batters to the plate, the scoring was highlighted by a 2 RBI double from Glen Carlson and an RBI triple from Dylan Hartman. The Blackhawks would hold a 4-0 lead after the third inning. The Raptors would have a rebound top of the fourth when they would tally three runs to cut the Blackhawk lead to 4-3. Lucas Heilman hit an RBI single, and Cael Myrtue, Gavin Vohs, and Owen Worthan would score in the inning. The Blackhawks would answer in the bottom of the fourth when Carlson would hit another 2 RBI double, which was paired with a Raptor throwing error. The Blackhawks would lead 8-3 after the fourth inning. The Raptors would get as close as 9-6 but the Blackhawks would go on to win 11-7.
The loss ends the Raptor’s season with a record of 14-8, the Blackhawks advance to the Class 2A District 15 Final Saturday night when they play 2A #5 Underwood.
