On a brutal day for golf the Ridge View boys golf team won their district meet played at the Rick Lake Golf and Country Club shooting a 320. The Raptors were led by medalist Kellen Clausen who fired a 68. Drew Burk shot 81, Robert Forristal 85, Gavin Vohs 86, Ty Clausen 87, and Luke Whitmer 88.
The Raptors will now play in the 2A state tourney May 27th, and 28th at Gates Park Country Club in Waterloo.
Alta-Aurelia golfer Lucas Baker shot a 79 at Willow Creek yesterday to place 5th and qualify for the 1A state tourney which will be held next week at South Hills Country Club in Waterloo.
The Newell Fonda boys placed 5th as a team shooting a 346, the Mustangs were led by Guyson Lyman and Landon Kruse who both shot 85. Carter Emerick 86, Jacksyn Hogrefe 90, Kellen Meyer 93, and Ian Harrer 94.
In a 3A district tourney at Landsmeer Storm Lake’s Charlie Dvergsten (82) and Trey Boettcher (83) did not qualify for state.
Another class 2A district tournament played at Carroll saw South Central Calhoun place 4th with a 347 and OA-BCIG 7th with a 354.
