Friday weather was tough for the first round regional girls golf tournaments. In a class 1A regional at Aurelia the Newell-Fonda girls placed 1st with a 407 and Alta-Aurelia was 2nd with a 409, South Central Calhoun placed 3rd with a 424. Those three teams will now play in a regional final tournament Wednesday, May 21st at the Primghar Golf and Country Club.
Sioux Central a 430, and Ridge View 447.
The East Sac County girls golf team shot a 408 and placed 2nd at their first round regional tournament at Clarmond Country Club. The Raiders will now play Wednesday, May 21st in a regional final at Pine Lake Country Club.
The Pocahontas Area girls golf team shot a 424 at Clarmond.
