Despite being held to a season low in pointsthe Sioux Central boys basketball team defeated East Sac County 50-31 in a class 1A district semi-final game played Thursday night in Sioux Rapids.
Jacob Hargens scored a game high 25 points to lead the Rebels and Ethan Mills scored all ten of his points in the 2nd half. East Sac County which lost to Sioux Central earlier in the year 53-31 played a tough defensive game and never gave up. They were led in scoring by Ryan Clair’s 13 points and they finish their year with a record of 11-11.
Sioux Central, now 22-0, will play the winner of the South Central Calhoun vs. Ogden game which was postponed to Friday night at 8:3pm in Rockwell City.
The district final will be played at Storm Lake Tuesday, February 21st at 7pm.
