Raveling–Tornadoes Walk Off Titans

Maddy Raveling’s two-out single in the bottom of the 8th inning scored Avery DeHaan and the Storm Lake softball team beat visiting GTRA 5-4.

Raveling picked up the win in the circle throwing all eight innings,The freshman gave up four runs on nine hits, she struck out five and walked three and in the process picked up her fourth win of the season.

Storm Lake, now 10-11 overall, had eleven hits at the plate with Cole Richardson collecting three singles. Kennadie Miller had two hits including a big 2-run double in the Tornadoes three-run 3rd inning. Taylor Ripke and Mackenzie Harder also had two hits.

It was the third straight game that the Tornadoes have played that went into extra innings. Storm Lake will play againWednesday night at home against Spirit Lake.
