Kinzee Hinders led four players in double figures with 18 points and 2nd ranked Newell-Fonda began their 1A tournament with a 79-34 win over Fort Dodge-St. Ed’s Tuesday night in Newell.
The Mustangs led 35-3 after the first quarter and put the game out of reach by halftime building a 57-18 lead. Kierra Jungers scored 17, Isabel Bartek had 15, and McKenna Sievers added 13 points as the Mustangs move their season record to 20-2.
They will host a regional semi-final Friday night and the game will be broadcast on 97.5FM KBVU.
