The Alta Aurelia volleyball team won in straight sets tonight (Tues) in Alta over Storm Lake St. Mary’s by scores of 25-9, 10, and 8.
The Warriors scored the opening nine points in sets one and two. They also put together an 8-0 run in set one, and scored ten in a row during the second set.
Ella Nielsen led Alta Aurelia with 11 kills. The Warriors had 25 aces on the night, including seven by Nora Peterson. Postgame comments from Warriors coach Jeannie Henningsen can be heard below…
Alta Aurelia goes to 5-1 overall, and 4-1 in the Twin Lakes Conference. The Panthers fall to 0-5.
Alta Aurelia is off until next Tuesday, September 19th when they visit Emmetsburg.
St. Mary’s plays in a triangular this Thursday at East Sac, which will also include Manson Northwest Webster.
