Historic runs end in Substate Semi-Final as East Sac County falls to 1A #4 Western Christian

The East Sac County Raiders Boys Soccer Team Fell in the Class 1A Substate 1 Semi-Final to 1A #4 Western Christian Wolfpack 6-0

The Wolfpack would open the scoring by striking just over eight minutes into the match to make it 1-0 with 31:46 in the first half. The Wolfpack would tally three goals in the final 25 minutes of the first half, scoring at 25:08, 14:37, and 9:25 en route to a 4-0 lead at the half. The Raiders would only see one shot on goal in the first half by Elias Aragon.

The second half saw the Wolfpack fly out of the gate, scoring two quick second-half goals in the first seven-plus minutes to take a commanding 6-0 lead. The Raiders would lockdown on the defensive side over the final 33 minutes of the match but were unable to find the back of the net. The Wolfpack would go on to win 6-0.

The loss ends the historic run by the Raiders and they close the season with a record of 4-9. The win improves the Wolfpack to 11-2. Up next for the 1A #4 Wolfpack, they advance to the Class 1A Substate 1 Final on Wednesday night when they will host 1A #7 Unity Christian.
