Jaidyn Coon scored a career high 35 points, including the 1,000th of his career, and the Storm Lake boys basketball team beat Denison-Schleswig 73-20 Tuesday night at Tornado Fieldhouse. Coon scored 18 points in the first half as the Tornadoes built a 51-11 lead. The 6-7 junior then scored 17 points in the 3rd quarter to finish with 35.

The Storm Lake girls beat Denison-Schleswig 65-45. Adeeya Yanga led three players in double figures with 20. Grace Kenkel added 14, and Avery DeHaan chipped in with 10. The Tornadoes improve to 11-7 overall. Click below to hear from head coach Nate Reichter, along with Maddy Raveling and Yanga.
