Alta-Aurelia falls in District Final at 1A #3 Remsen St Mary’s

The Alta-Aurelia Warrior baseball team fell to 1A #3 Remsen St Mary’s Hawks 3-0 in District Final Play


After the Hawk starter, Collin Homan saw the Warriors down in three pitches in the top of the first. In the bottom of the first inning, the Hawks would use two two-out Warrior errors en route to scoring two runs. Homan would set the Warriors down in order in both the second and third innings. The third saw the Hawks add to their lead when Cael Ortmann walked and stole second base, Ortmann would get a big lead between second and third base which lead to a Warrior throwing error. The Hawks lead 3-0 after three innings.

The Warriors would get hit by two pitches in the top of the fourth but would strand the runners. Both teams would see runners get aboard but neither would score. The Hawks would go on to win 3-0 over the Warriors.

The loss ends the Warriors’ season at 22-8, the win advances the #3 Hawks to 28-2 they will play on Tuesday in the Substate Final vs Woodbury Central
