Three Arrested in Pocahontas Drug Case; One Re‑Arrested in Storm Lake

Three people face charges after a drug‑related search warrant in Pocahontas last week — and one of them was arrested again this week in Storm Lake on separate warrants.

The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office says deputies executed a search warrant on April 28 at a home on Beneke Street in Pocahontas, where officers seized illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia. Three individuals were arrested as a result.

Thirty‑two‑year‑old Brooke Inthasane‑Robinson was charged with third‑offense possession of marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor; third‑offense possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Twenty‑two‑year‑old Tyra Khounsanthone was charged with first‑offense possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

And 25‑year‑old Mach Nyaw was charged with second‑offense possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

All three were taken into custody following the search. The Iowa State Patrol assisted.

Separately, Storm Lake Police arrested Inthasane‑Robinson again early Tuesday morning after a traffic stop at West Seventh and Ontario streets. According to a press release from the Storm Lake Police Department, she was found to have active Pocahontas County warrants for third‑offense possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Buena Vista County Jail.

A passenger in the vehicle, 29‑year‑old Garhoth Dak of Storm Lake, also had an active Buena Vista County warrant for failure to appear on a paraphernalia charge. Police say Dak was additionally found with a THC vape device. He was charged with hemp inhalation, a serious misdemeanor, and held on a $600 bond.

Storm Lake Police say the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office assisted in Tuesday’s arrest.
