The Storm Lake Police Department responded to a disturbance around 6 p.m. Thursday evening in the 700 block of Lincoln Road.
Officers arrived to find 36-year-old Ivan Tello Reyes of Storm Lake allegedly intoxicated and shouting at family members outside a residence at 709 Lincoln Road.
According to authorities, Tello Reyes had entered the home, caused property damage, and made threats to kill two minor children. Officers encountered him in the front yard, where he reportedly refused commands before being subdued and taken into custody.
Tello Reyes now faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree harassment, child endangerment, assault, operating while intoxicated second offense, and interference with official acts.
He was transported to the Buena Vista County Jail and was booked on a $8,600 bond.
