Storm Lake City Council Tables Family Definition Change for Water Park Season Passes

The Storm Lake City Council today (Mon) tabled a definition change that would possibly allow an unlimited amount of family members to be included in a King’s Pointe Water Park family season pass.

Water park family season passes at the resort are currently allowed for up to five individuals per household, with a 55-dollar add-on option for additional family members.

Council member Matt Ricklefs approached King’s Pointe general manager Amy Von Bank regarding the definition change, as he questioned why everyone in larger families couldn’t be included in the family pass.

King’s Pointe has already started selling family water park passes for the upcoming season, but families won’t come in until April to get their photos taken for ID. The council agreed to have the city gather more information on how other water parks and amusement parks handle family passes, and revisit the matter at an upcoming meeting.

Von Bank said an average of around 200 family passes have been sold in recent years.
