The Raptors deliver a sweep over Storm Lake St. Mary’s on Senior Night. Girls won 44-31, while the boys gained a 61-22 victory.
For the girls, they started the game on a 8-0 run, eventually leading to a 15-5 advantage after one. The third quarter they outscored the Panthers by five to take a 36-21 lead into the fourth where they would get a 44-31 win.
Madison Stowater was the leading scorer on either side with 19 points and Shea Dutler finished with 12. Storm Lake St. Mary’s were led by Neely Bacon, who drained four three pointers, and Sydney Hurd tallied 10.
The Raptors improve to 11-8 overall and St. Mary’s falls to 3-14.
Up next for Ridge View is a matchup at East Sac County on Thursday, while St. Mary’s returns home tomorrow (Tuesday) hosting West Bend Mallard.
The boys game began in similar fashion as the girls with Ridge View scoring the first11 points, leading 13-2 after the first. Raptors Head Coach Alex Warnke started all five seniors (Tracin Price, Kyler Wunschel, Grant Movall, Cael Myrtue, and Mason Wolf).
They would score another 18, while holding the Panthers to 4 to lead 31-6 at the break. Another 30 points in the second half totaled up to 61 for them and holding St. Mary’s to 22.
Panthers’ Bennett Smith had 15 and it was Senior Tracin Price on the Raptors side with 15.
Ridge View Boys improve to 9-10 and Storm Lake St. Mary’s drops to 1-18. St. Mary’s entertains West Bend Mallard tomorrow night and the Raptors travel to East Sac County on Thursday.
