The annual Storm Lake Kids Fest event is scheduled for Sunday, June 8th from noon to 3pm at Chautauqua Park.
Admission and activities are free. Activities include a wet and wild foam party, dunk tank, and inflatable sports games. Magician Mikayla Oz will perform two shows at 12:30 and 2pm. A balloon artist will perform throughout the event, making special creations for kids. There will also be a mini-golf challenge, face painting booth, STEM activities, a football throw event, bubble painting station, and photo booth. Children will be able to create paper rockets, there will be an inflatable soccer field, and BVRMC’s ambulance crew will be on hand for tours and learning. Several local health organizations will offer games and other fun activities. The police department’s YumVee treats vehicle will be on hand. All city departments will be on hand with informative, educational stations for kids to learn about the environment and more.
Guests at the event can pick up a wristband for kids 12 and under to visit the King’s Pointe outdoor waterpark free the remainder of the day. The waterpark will be open until 6pm that day.
