A man was arrested, and his brother was seriously injured following a domestic incident in Schaller late last week.
According to the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the assistance of the Sac City Police Department, were called to the residence at 309 South Selkirk Street in Schaller shortly after 3:20am Friday. An investigation determined that a physical altercation occurred between brothers, 29-year-old Justin Nordstrom and 42-year-old Cory Andersen, who both live at the residence. Nordstrom reportedly wanted Andersen’s girlfriend out of the house. Andersen was seriously injured, and was transported to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake by Sac County Paramedics.
Nordstrom was arrested at the scene without incident. He was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Serious Injury, an aggravated misdemeanor, and was booked into the Sac County Jail.
