Another case of bird flu in Buena Vista County was confirmed on Wednesday.
According to the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the USDA, the latest bird flu outbreak in BV County is in a commercial turkey flock.
This is the 3rd commercial turkey flock in Buena Vista County to be infected with bird flu since December of last year. This marks the first confirmed case of bird flu in Iowa since a commercial turkey flock in Ida County was infected in mid-December.
31 flocks have been infected in Iowa since March of last year.
