Four Storm Lake St. Mary’s students took part in the Buena Vista University Junior High Honor Band this past Saturday.
St. Mary’s students that participated included (pictured left to right) Griffin Strom for trumpet playing, Abby Wunschel for alto saxophone, Jessa Fetrow for alto saxophone, and Ruby Phelps for clarinet.
The four St. Mary’s students joined others from several states to rehearse throughout the day, and had a concert that evening at the Schaller Chapel. This year’s junior high honor band was directed by St. Mary’s pre-k through 8th grade band and vocal music teacher Gayle Strom.
