During the Storm Lake School Community District Meeting on Wednesday, Storm Lake’s Early Elementary School Principal Michael Sullivan expressed his gratitude as he is resigning from his position.
The Early Elementary opened in January of last (2022). However, Sullivan has been working in the Storm Lake Community for the past eight years.
Before taking over the Principal position, Sullivan served as the Storm Lake Elementary Assistant Principal, in addition to being a kindergarten and sixth grade teacher, as well as an instructional strategist for the Storm Lake District.
Sullivan turned in his resignation letter last month, detailing that he will step away from education to make some significant changes in life. He will serve out the remainder of this school year. A search is in the midst of finding Sullivan’s replacement.
During the School Board Meeting on Wednesday, he took a moment to thank all of his colleagues for all the support.
