Woman Receives Drug/Theft Charges in Spencer

A woman was recently arrested in Spencer on felony drug-related charges following a shoplifting complaint.

According to the Spencer Police Department, officers were called to Spencer Walmart last Thursday, March 13th. 44-year-old Danielle Marie Davis of Curlew was initially charged with 3rd Degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor…and Possession of Methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor.

After further investigation, and with assistance of the Spencer K9, an additional 20 grams of meth was located in Davis’ vehicle. Davis was further charged with Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Deliver, a class B felony…Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a class D felony…and Possession of Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Davis was booked without incident into the Clay County Jail.
